As for Collegiate Athletics, Oklahoma proudly has four schools that compete at the highest level of college sports, NCAA Division 1. The two most prominent members are The University of Oklahoma Sooners and the Oklahoma State University Cowboys. Both teams average well over 50,000 fans at football home games. Sports Illustrated rated these two schools among the top colleges for athletics in the nation.
